"Life is like a Bicycle; to keep your balance, you must keep moving." - Albert einstein
Denzel 6Patience Good morning Mr Saw, Mdm Ranuka, Mr Low, Teachers and friends. Today I am here to share a quote with all of you. The quote is “Life is like a bicycle; to keep your balance, you must keep moving” - Albert Einstein. I wanted to share this quote with all of you because I find it very interesting. The quote has taught me that in life we may meet many challenges, but we must not let them slow us down. Instead, we must bravely conquer the challenges and keep moving forward. All of us will face hardship in life, but we need to have the will to continue in spite of obstacles. We need to have hope, courage and determination when things get tough. Try learning from your mistakes, so that you can make better choices and move forward. Try asking for help if you are unsure as there are many people around you who can give you valuable advice. Next, set a goal for yourself so that you can keep moving forward. As you move forward, you must be prepared to meet more obstacles. But it is going to test how determined you are to reach your goal. With that, I end my sharing. I hope all of you will also learn something from this quote. Thank you!
"Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there " -Will Rogers.
Anneliese 6Patience
Good Morning Mr Saw, Mdm Ranuka, Mr Low, teachers and friends. I am Anneliese from 6 Patience. Today, I am sharing the quote, “Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there” by Will Rogers. I personally think that “on the right track” means that you are heading to the right direction to your destination. But if you are just going to sit there, you are not going to get anywhere. You might even get run over by anyone else who is trying to get to the destination that you are going to. Take for example, ourselves, during exam periods. If you achieved good results in previous examinations or test, it means that you are on the right track. However, if you are getting complacent about it and do not work hard, you are basically just “sitting there”. Soon, schoolmates who were once behind you will run you over and eventually, you will not get anywhere and your results might even drop. I am sure that no one would want that to happen. Hence, putting in constant and consistent effort is important. Always remember that the race is never won the day itself. Instead, it was won during training in the months leading up to the race. Thank you!
"Everybody wants happiness. Nobody wants pain. But you cannot get a rainbow without a Little rain." -Zion lee
Mythri 6Patience
Good morning Mr. Saw, Mdm. Ranuka, Mr. Low, teachers, and dear friends. I am Mythri from 6 Patience. Today I will be sharing a quote: ‘Everybody wants happiness. Nobody wants pain. But you cannot get a rainbow without a little rain.’ This is one of the quotes from Zion Lee that has become one of my recent favourites. I found this quote very motivating and therefore wanted to share it with you. In this quote, the happiness can be defined as achieving a goal, which during examinations, is achieving your personal best. “Pain” can be defined as hard work which surely everybody does not want to do. “Rain” can be defined as discipline, or in other words; consistent hard work. And the “rainbow” will be the final result. If you had worked hard enough, the rainbow formed will be bright and colourful. I am certain that with a little ‘pain’ and ‘rain’, we will be able to get a bright and colourful rainbow of happiness come our results. Since it is still Term 1, there is enough time to work hard before the examinations. I dedicate this quote especially to my fellow P6s as we prepare for our PSLE. There is still ample time before PSLE to correct ourselves and work hard to good results. Let’s put in some “pain” and endure some “rain” now to see the “rainbow” at the end. Thank You for listening!
"'No one knows what they can do until they try."
Yashika 6Patience
Good morning Mr. Saw, Mr. Low, Mdm Ranuka teachers and fellow Edgefielders. My name is Yashika, from 5P and today I will be sharing a motivational quote with all of you. It is 'No one knows what they can do until they try.' We can all associate this quote with our school's core value of courage. It encourages us to try new things. We should be brave to try new things because we would never know how good we could be at it. Think about it: every great and successful person started out like us, students! If they could do it why not us? The important thing that got them started in order to be eventually be successful was the courage to try something new. They learnt to conquer their fears of being unsuccessful. And so should we. For example, if Thomas Edison had given up after trying just a few metals, we would not have the invention of the light bulb. So, this quote not only encourages us not to give up but also to push ourselves out of our comfort zones to try something new and conquer our fears of failure and being unsuccessful. I hope that this quote would help you in your journey in school. THANK YOU :)
“Courage does not always roar. Sometimes Courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.” -Mary Anne Radmacher
Sia Pathania 5Grace
Good Morning Mr Saw, Madam Ranuka, Mr Low, teachers and fellow friends. I am Sia from Primary 5 Grace. Today I will be sharing a quote about courage. It is titled, “Courage does not always roar. Sometimes Courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.” Written by Mary Anne Radmacher, an author. In life, we all face ups and downs, sometimes we are taken aback by these setbacks. We should always persevere and we should make sure that our hope of light, should not be extinguished even in the face of difficulty or with little or no indication of success. In other words, we should never give-up, who knows tomorrow will be brighter than today. We should never be afraid of sharing our point of view. Who knows it just might make the situation a little bit better. If we did not get to share today, we should always have our fingers crossed for tomorrow. When one door closes, the other door will always be present for you. If you do not achieve something that you wished to achieve, do not be discouraged because everything happens for a purpose. For all you know, these seemingly insignificant things will help you a lot in life. Always move on and do not take things to heart, because if you do the crowd will be move ahead of you. I hope all of you work hard and have a great year ahead. With that, I end my sharing. Thank you and have a nice day.
“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.”
Chiong Jun Yan 5Grace Good morning Mr Saw, Mr Low, Mdm Ranuka, teachers and fellow friends. My name is Jun Yan and I am from 5 Grace. The quote I want to share is: “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.” I find this quote interesting because it encourages us to work hard in order to reap the rewards of our efforts. For example, you may need to sacrifice play time or computer time and work hard in order to get good grades in our examinations. Subsequently, whatever grade that we achieve, we carry on working hard and improve. I hope you remember this quote and I wish you the best in finding your destinations. Thank you for your attention!
“Successful people never worry about what others are doing.”
Natalie 6Patience
Good morning Mr Saw, Madam Ranuka, Mr Low, teachers and friends. Today, the quote I am sharing is: “Successful people never worry about what others are doing.” Can you relate to this quote? Most of us are overly concerned that other people are successful, and result in feeling hopeless and thus our self-esteem may be lowered. Does other people’s success affect our performance? I hope the answer is no. We constantly put pressure on ourselves to be the best, that is why we often get demoralised when others succeed before us. But you only succeed when you do not worry about others beating you. Instead, we should learn from them, take a small step at a time, and we will eventually reach our destination. Once you succeed, it does not mean that you can be complacent and look down upon the rest who are not on the same level as you, but you can help them out in the areas that they are weak in, and continue to encourage them to strive for success. Thank you.
"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow . "
Fu lei 6Grace
Good morning everyone! My name is Fu Lei and I’m from primary 6 Grace. The motivational quote I’m sharing today is “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow “. It means that it is never too late to change your life. There is always hope that tomorrow will be a better day, it is up to you whether or not it turns out that way. We can apply this by not losing hope when you did not score well for your examinations. You just have to keep on revising your notes, work hard and ask your friends if you do not understand. Eventually, you will score better. Thank you for listening.
